JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SHOTFIRER

As a Shotfirer, you will manage and execute blasting operations in mines. Your focus on safety and precision is essential to achieve project objectives without compromising the safety and well-being of the team.

Some key responsibilities for this role include:

• Safely handle, transport, and store explosives
• Prepare, measure, and load blast holes in accordance with plans and specifications
• Set up and initiate blasts, ensuring all safety measures are observed
• Conduct post-blast inspections and provide accurate blast reports
• Comply with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate effectively with the wider team and report to supervisors
• Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Relevant certifications in handling explosives
• Previous experience as a shotfirer or in a similar position
• A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to manage risks
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
• Must be physically fit and resilient to work in challenging conditions
