Join our team as an MPU Operator
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Processing Unit (MPU) Operator to join our ever-growing team in the mining industry.
About the Role
As an MPU Operator, you will be primarily responsible for the safe operation of MPU vehicles as well as the mixing and delivery of explosives at multiple blast sites. This role is integral to our operations and is perfect for those who thrive in a challenging and team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of MPU vehicles and equipment in line with the safety standards and procedures of the company
- Accurate mixing and delivery of explosives to blast locations and sites.
- Carry out daily checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MPU vehicles.
- Correctly record and report operational data as well as any irregularities.
- Work collaboratively with the blasting crew and other team members.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an MPU Operator in the mining industry.
- A current valid and full driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- A demonstrated ability to understand and comply with safety regulations and procedures within the mining industry.
- Proficiency in basic maintenance and troubleshooting of large vehicles and machinery.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and shift schedules.
- Must be physically fit, being able to lift heavy objects and work within confined spaces
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
