About the Role
As a Drill Blast Supervisor, you will be tasked with overseeing and managing our drill and blast operations.
Your responsibility will ensure that all drilling and blasting activities adhere to our strict safety protocols, are performed efficiently, and meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of the drill and blast team
- Ensuring all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Reviewing and approving detailing drilling and blasting plans
- Train team members on industry best practices and safety procedures
- Inspect and maintain drilling and blasting equipment
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implementing corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of all drilling and blasting activities
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, and clients
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Relevant certifications and licensing in drilling and blasting
- Proven experience as a supervisor in a mining or managerial position
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure as well as in challenging environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
