At Rock on Ground, we are currently searching for a dedicated and hardworking Mining Offsider to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
As an Offsider, you will support our drilling team, ensuring that operations run efficiently and safely. This is a fantastic opening to further develop your career in the mining industry, with various opportunities for skill development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drillers with the operation and maintenance of drill rigs and equipment.
- Conduct pre-start checks on machinery and equipment.
- Handling, processing, and storing core samples.
- Loading and unloading heavy materials.
- Performing maintenance activities and housekeeping duties around the site to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Supporting other team members and departments as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role in the mining industry is mandatory
- Applicants must hold a current full driver’s licence.
- Applicants must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and operating machinery.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and understanding of safe working practices.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to work in remote areas under tough weather conditions
- Must possess a current First Aid certificate.
